In one line
This website sets no cookies. No analytics, no advertising pixels, no social trackers, no session cookie. That is why there is no consent banner in your way, under Article 82 of the French Data Protection Act and the ePrivacy Directive, consent is required for storage that is not strictly necessary, and we do not do any.
The absence of a banner is not an oversight. It is the consequence of not tracking you.
2What is actually stored
Nothing. This site sets no cookie and writes nothing to your browser's local storage. Close the tab and no trace of the visit stays on your device.
An earlier version of this site kept, in local storage, the address you used to join the early access list, so the page could tell you which one it was. That list is closed now that Vectored is on the App Store, the page no longer asks for an address, and nothing is written any more. If you signed up back then and would rather the old value were gone, clearing this site's data in your browser removes it.
With nothing stored, there is nothing to consent to and nothing to withdraw.
3Strictly necessary
The strictly-necessary set for this website is empty. There is no session cookie, because there is nothing to sign in to here: the app is where you have an account, and you get it from the App Store.
If and when the website offers accounts and web checkout, a genuine session cookie will be needed to keep you signed in and to protect the checkout against cross-site request forgery. That kind of cookie is also strictly necessary and also exempt from consent, and this page will list it, with its name and duration, before it ships.
4Analytics
None. There is no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Matomo, no Fathom, no server-side analytics product on this site. We do not measure your journey through the page, we do not record sessions, and we do not build a profile of you.
The one thing we do know about traffic is what the hosting provider records in its ordinary server logs, a request line, an IP address, a timestamp, kept briefly for security and diagnostics, as described in the Privacy Policy. That is not cookie-based and cannot follow you to another site.
5Marketing and tracking
None. No Meta pixel, no TikTok pixel, no Google Ads tag, no conversion tracking, no retargeting, no fingerprinting, no data broker. We do not sell or share your data for advertising, and there is nothing here for an ad network to read.
Links we post sometimes carry a ?ref= tag naming the post they came
from. Nothing on this site reads it or keeps it: it is there for our own reading of
the server logs, and it identifies the post, not you.
6Third-party requests
None. Every stylesheet, script and image on this site is served from this domain. No font is fetched from Google or anyone else: the pages use the typeface already on your device. Nothing about your visit reaches a third party before you click a link yourself.
The links to Instagram and TikTok are plain links. We embed none of their scripts and no widget, so neither platform knows you were here until you click, at which point you are on their site, under their cookie policy, not ours.
7Inside the app
The iOS app is not a web page and uses no cookies. It stores your session token and your settings on the device; course pages and questions are fetched from our backend when you open them. Deleting the app removes all of it from that device.
The app contains no advertising SDK and no third-party analytics SDK, and it does not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA). It will therefore never show you the App Tracking Transparency prompt, there is nothing to ask you about.
8Consent and control
There is nothing to consent to today, so there is no preference centre. What you can do:
- Clear the two stored values from your browser's site-data settings, at any time.
- Block storage entirely for this site in your browser settings, the site still works.
- Use Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control. We honour them by default, which costs us nothing since we track no one.
- Ask us to delete your waitlist row, support@piloteautrement.com.
9If this ever changes
We may one day want to know which pages convert. If we add anything beyond strictly-necessary storage, all of the following happen before it goes live, not after:
- a consent banner appears, with Reject as prominent as Accept;
- nothing non-essential is stored until you have actively accepted it, no implied consent, no scrolling as agreement;
- refusing is as easy as accepting, and you can change your mind later from a link in the footer;
- this table is updated with every name, purpose, provider and duration;
- the date at the top of this page changes.
Our preference, if we get there, is a privacy-friendly analytics tool that measures pages without identifying people, the kind that needs no consent because it stores nothing on your device.
