1Scope and seller
These terms govern every purchase of a Vectored subscription and every purchase of a Pilote Autrement digital pack. The seller is Avyx Group, whose full identity is on the Legal Notice.
They apply to consumers. If you are buying as a business or for a flying school, contact us at support@piloteautrement.com, the consumer protections below (withdrawal, conformity) do not apply to you, and a multi-seat arrangement needs a separate agreement.
Important
Where you buy changes who you buy from. A Vectored subscription is bought inside the app, and the merchant of record is Apple: Apple bills you, Apple handles the refund. A Pilote Autrement PDF pack is bought on our own store, and there you buy directly from us. Both routes are described below and the difference matters when you want your money back.
2What we sell
Vectored subscriptions
Access to the app: the course sheets, the question bank in practice and exam mode, Captain, the planner, the analytics, notes and flashcards. Three tiers, PPL, ATPL and Ultimate (both licences), each billed monthly or yearly. Every tier includes every feature; what changes is which syllabus you get.
These are auto-renewable subscriptions. They continue, and are charged, until you cancel. See section 6.
Pilote Autrement packs and e-books
The PDF course packs sold on the Pilote Autrement store are one-off purchases, not subscriptions. You pay once and download the files. They renew nothing and charge nothing again.
If you bought one of those packs before Vectored existed, the same syllabus is unlocked permanently inside Vectored at no further cost, see section 10.
3Prices
Vectored is sold in one place: the App Store. There is no checkout on this website, so there is one price per plan, Apple's. It is shown in the app before you confirm, and it is the price that binds you.
| Plan | Monthly | Yearly |
|---|---|---|
| PPL | €14.99 | €139.99 |
| ATPL | €22.99 | €219.99 |
| Ultimate | €29.99 | €284.99 |
These are the euro prices for France, VAT included. Apple converts them into your local currency and adjusts them for local tax, so the figure you see can differ from the one above. The figure Apple shows you at the moment you confirm is the one that applies.
There is no introductory offer, no promotional offer and no offer code on any plan today. If one is ever added, Apple states its price and its duration before you confirm, and the plan renews at the standard price above once it ends.
4Ordering and payment
On this website
Nothing is sold here. This website presents the app and links to the App Store; it takes no payment, holds no basket and asks for no card details. Anyone asking you for payment in the name of Vectored anywhere other than the App Store, or the Pilote Autrement store below, is not us.
Inside the app
You subscribe through Apple, using the payment method on your Apple Account. Apple bills you, issues the receipt, and manages the subscription. Your purchase is also governed by Apple's own terms.
Pilote Autrement packs
Packs are sold through our online store, which handles the checkout and payment. The store's own confirmation email is your proof of purchase.
If a payment fails or is refused, the order is not completed and access is not granted. For a renewal that fails, see section 6.
5Access to your products
Subscriptions: access opens immediately once payment is confirmed. Sign in to the app with the same account and everything unlocks, on iPhone and iPad both. Sheets can be downloaded for offline study.
Packs: the download link is delivered by email immediately after payment. If it has not arrived within an hour, check your spam folder, then email us.
You need a compatible device, an iPhone or iPad running iOS 26 or later, and an internet connection to sign in, sync and use Captain. Check that before you buy; an incompatible device is not by itself a defect in the product.
6Auto-renewal
How renewal works
A subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, monthly plans every month, yearly plans every year, and you are charged the standard price for the next period. It keeps renewing until you cancel. There is no minimum term and no cancellation fee.
In-app subscriptions are charged by Apple within 24 hours of the end of the current period. Turning off auto-renew less than 24 hours before the renewal date may not stop that charge, Apple's rule, not ours.
Apple emails you a receipt for every charge, and warns you before a yearly plan renews. No subscription is billed by us: the App Store is the only place Vectored is sold.
If a renewal payment fails, Apple retries it over a few days and tells you. If it still fails, Apple cancels the subscription and access closes at the end of the period you had paid for.
7How to cancel
You can cancel at any time, and you keep your access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Cancelling stops the next charge; it is not a refund of the current one.
- Bought inside the app: cancel in your Apple Account, Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Vectored → Cancel Subscription. We cannot cancel an Apple subscription for you; only Apple can.
- Bought a PDF pack from Pilote Autrement: there is nothing to cancel, it was a one-off purchase and it renews nothing.
Deleting the app does not cancel anything. Neither does deleting your account on its own stop an Apple subscription. If you bought through Apple, cancel in your Apple Account settings, that is the only route that stops the billing.
8Right of withdrawal
As a consumer in the EU you normally have 14 days to withdraw from a distance contract without giving a reason.
Digital content is the exception. Because the sheets, the question bank and the app unlock immediately, we can only deliver them straight away if you ask us to, and when you do, you lose the right to withdraw once delivery has begun. On the Pilote Autrement store, where we are the seller, you are asked to tick this, separately and expressly, before you confirm:
“I ask for immediate access to the digital content and I acknowledge that I thereby lose my right of withdrawal once access has been given.”
This is Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU, and Article L221-28 13° of the French Consumer Code. If you do not tick it, delivery waits until the 14 days have run, and your withdrawal right is untouched for that whole period. For a subscription bought in the app there is no such box on our side: Apple runs the purchase, and its own terms carry the same acknowledgement.
To withdraw where the right still applies, tell us in a clear statement, an email to support@piloteautrement.com is enough. We refund within 14 days, using the same payment method you used.
For an in-app purchase, the withdrawal request goes to Apple, not to us, because Apple is the seller of record. Use Report a Problem on reportaproblem.apple.com.
9Refunds
Beyond the withdrawal right, here is how refunds work. A subscription is charged by Apple, so a refund on it is Apple's to give: you ask through reportaproblem.apple.com, with your Apple Account. We cannot refund an Apple charge ourselves, and nobody at Vectored can see your card.
| Situation | A subscription, bought in the app | A PDF pack, bought from Pilote Autrement |
|---|---|---|
| Charged after you cancelled | Ask Apple through Report a Problem. Write to us at the same time and we will support the claim. | Nothing renews, so this cannot happen. |
| Renewal you did not intend | At Apple's discretion, through Report a Problem. We support the claim if you have not used the period. | Nothing renews. |
| Service substantially broken or unavailable | Ask Apple. Where Apple declines and the fault was ours, we make it good ourselves, as access or as a refund of the unused part. | Refunded, or the file replaced, your choice. |
| Duplicate or accidental charge | Refunded by Apple in full. | Refunded in full, always. |
| Changed your mind, having used it | No refund of the current period; cancel to stop the next one. | No refund once the file has been downloaded, see section 8. |
| Failed your exam | No refund. Vectored is a study aid and does not guarantee a result. | |
Refunds we issue ourselves go back to the original payment method and normally reach you within 5 to 10 working days, depending on your bank. Refunds issued by Apple follow Apple's own timing.
10If you bought the PDF sheets before
If you bought a Pilote Autrement PDF pack before Vectored launched, you keep a permanently reduced price on every Vectored plan, for as long as you stay subscribed. It is not a promotional period that runs out: it is the price your account pays.
It is a price, not free content. A reduced subscription is still a subscription: it renews, it is billed by Apple, and it stops when you cancel, exactly like the standard one. Sections 6 and 7 apply to it unchanged.
How your account gets it
- By the address you ordered with. Create your Vectored account with that same email address and the reduced price applies by itself.
- By order number. If you signed up with a different address, or through Sign in with Apple with your address hidden, enter your order number in the app and it applies then. It is on your confirmation email.
One order, one account. An order number that has already been used by an account cannot be used again by another, and the reduced price cannot be transferred or sold. If neither route works, write to us from the contact form and we will look the order up by hand.
11Legal guarantee of conformity
Digital content and digital services come with a legal guarantee of conformity. The product must match its description, work as advertised, and keep working for as long as you are subscribed. This is free, it is separate from any commercial gesture we make, and it cannot be signed away.
In France it is Articles L224-25-1 to L224-25-31 of the Consumer Code; elsewhere in the EU it is the national law implementing Directive (EU) 2019/770.
If the service does not conform, you may require us to bring it into conformity, and if we cannot do so within a reasonable time, you may obtain a price reduction or terminate the contract and be reimbursed. Report it to support@piloteautrement.com.
We also owe you the guarantee against hidden defects (Articles 1641 and following of the French Civil Code).
12Price and plan changes
We may change prices. A change never affects a period you have already paid for.
For an existing subscription we tell you by email at least 30 days before the new price applies, and it takes effect at your next renewal. If you do not want it, cancel before that date and nothing is charged. For in-app subscriptions, Apple also asks you to confirm a price increase before it takes effect, if you do not, the subscription stops.
If we discontinue a plan you are on, we move you to the closest equivalent at no increase, or refund the unused part of your term.
13What you may do with it
Buying a subscription or a pack buys you a personal right to use the material for your own training. It does not transfer any ownership of it.
You may not share, resell, republish, redistribute or reproduce the sheets, illustrations or questions, and you may not share your account. The full terms of the licence are in section 5 of the Terms of Use. Breaching it can cost you your account, without refund.
14Support
support@piloteautrement.com, for everything, a billing question, a broken download, an error in a sheet. We aim to answer within two working days.
Support is included in the price. There is no paid support tier.
15Complaints and disputes
Email us first. Genuinely, almost everything is resolved in one exchange, and we would rather fix it than argue about it.
If we cannot agree, and you are a consumer, you may refer the dispute free of charge to our consumer mediator within one year of your written complaint: CM2C, Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de Justice, 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris, France, cm2c.net. CM2C is approved by the French commission for consumer mediation (CECMC). Referring a dispute to the mediator costs you nothing.
If you live in another EU country, the European Consumer Centres Network can take up a cross-border dispute with us on your behalf, free of charge: eccnet.eu. The European Commission's own online dispute resolution platform closed in July 2025 and no longer accepts complaints.
These terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to the mandatory consumer protections of the country you live in. As a consumer you may always bring proceedings in the courts where you are domiciled.
